Mozilla Announces Firefox OS for Smartphone: Open & Built with HTML5

Mozilla has officially announced its own mobile operating system for smartphones known as Firefox OS. It'll be fully open mobile ecosystem based on HTML5 and target to low budget smartphones. Its built on Mozilla’s “Boot to Gecko project” and the Boot2Gecko OS has now merged into Firefox OS.

Mozilla also stats that the first devices featuring Firefox OS to be manufactured by TCL Communication
